Terms of Use and Disclaimer
Effective October 23, 2026
These terms apply to the Fiber Report app together with Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the standard App Store EULA). By using the app you accept them.
A tool, not a guarantee
- Fiber Report reads test files made by fiber optic instruments and shows, analyses and reports their results. It does not measure anything itself.
- Its pass / fail verdicts, averages, analyses and reports depend on the files, the thresholds and the settings you use. They can differ from those of the instrument or of the instrument maker's software.
- You are responsible for checking the results and for the decisions you make with them: acceptance of a link, repairs, reports handed to your customers. Where it matters, confirm results with the instrument, its original files and the applicable standards and contract requirements.
- Keep the original test files. The app keeps a backup of a file before it changes it, but it cannot replace your own copies of important data.
No warranty
The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages — including lost data, lost profits, rejected work, repair costs or downtime — arising from the use of, or the inability to use, the app or its results, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations; there they apply only as far as the law allows.
Independence and trademarks
Fiber Report is an independent app. It is not made, endorsed or supported by any instrument manufacturer. Names of instruments, software and file formats belong to their owners and are used only to describe compatibility.
Changes
These terms may be updated; the new version will be posted on this page with its effective date.
